East Coast Wings started with a simple idea: bring the bold, saucy tradition of real east coast wings to the West Coast — no shortcuts, no compromises.

Founded in San Francisco in 2008 by brothers Marcus and Daniel Reeves, we began as a small takeout spot on the corner of Palms Avenue. Word spread fast. Our hand-tossed wings, slow-smoked proteins, and made-from-scratch sauces became a neighborhood institution almost overnight.

Today, East Coast Wings is more than a restaurant — it's a community hub where sports fans, families, and flavor-seekers come together. We source locally whenever possible, craft every sauce in-house, and stay obsessed with the quality our guests deserve.

Our History

From a small takeout window to San Francisco's go-to wing destination — here's how East Coast Wings grew.

  • 2008

    The Beginning

    Marcus and Daniel Reeves open a tiny takeout spot at 699 Avenue of the Palms with six sauce flavors and a secondhand fryer. Lines form on day one.

  • 2011

    First Expansion

    Overwhelming demand pushes us to double our kitchen space and launch dine-in seating for the first time. We add smoked proteins and loaded sides to the menu.

  • 2014

    Sauce Lab Launches

    We open our in-house Sauce Lab, dedicated to developing new and seasonal flavors. Our roster grows to 20+ signature sauces, including the legendary Inferno Glaze.

  • 2017

    Delivery Goes Live

    East Coast Wings launches its own delivery service, bringing fresh east coast wings across San Francisco. Over 10,000 orders placed in the first six months.

  • 2020

    Adapting & Growing

    Through an industry-wide challenge, East Coast Wings pivots to contactless pickup and community meal programs — feeding over 3,000 families during closures.

  • 2024

    Today & Beyond

    Now serving over 50,000 loyal guests with 30+ sauce flavors, a full catering program, and expansion plans underway — the story is far from over.

The visionary behind East Coast Wings, Marcus grew up in Baltimore obsessed with wing culture. He brought that East Coast soul to San Francisco and never looked back.

Daniel keeps the machine running. With a background in restaurant management, he oversees quality control, logistics, and the team culture that makes us special.
